Evidence
This woman is believed to be Siutiruk who is known for killing a wolf that came into camp. The wolf was digging into the edge of the tent. She went out and confronted the wolf and killed it by slicing off its nose with her ulu.

Perspective
Her decorative necklace may have significance linked to her famous wolf encounter.

Significance
Hair sticks (tuglirrut) were both decorative and functional. Hair was wrapped around the sticks and held in place with strips of decorated hide. Beadwork was often added.
