Inuit camp

Inuit camp.

Evidence
The sled was designed for travel over rough ice. Also the design of the dog harnesses is different from Kivalliq harnesses. This style will enable the hunter to pull dogs out of open water if necessary and the harness will not slip off.

Perspective
It was a blessing to have well-controlled dogs who would enter into open water on command and go through many different conditions with fortitude.

Significance
Qamaq could also be built entirely about ground when materials were available. Often this became easier when a mix of sod blocks and building materials were combined.
